My father and I have been going to John for years. He has worked on multiple different devices from stereos to specialized ophthalmic equipment. He is very knowledgeable about many different aspects (hardware and software) and is incredibly honest. If you want someone who will take his time and help you solve your issues, he’s your guy.

Would give zero if possible. He quoted me $40 and 4-6 weeks to fix a cd player. I had to call and check in three times with him to get him to even start working on it(I called in at the 6 week mark asking if it was done, and he told me he hadn’t even STARTED it, 6 weeks in, and told me to wait another 2 weeks. When I went in at the 8 week mark, he didn’t even know where the device I dropped off was, and we both had to go digging around his messy store to find it. Once we did, he told me he STILL hadn’t started it and asked me give him 2 hours and he would call me, never got a call) I finally came in today on my own accord, no communication from him(3 MONTHS after drop off) and he tried to charge me another $35 but wouldn’t disclose why. When politely questioned, he raised his voice at me, cursing and claiming it was my job to ‘keep on him’ about fixing it and “if you wanted it fixed faster, you should’ve kept calling me”. Insane right?? My player is fixed but it took 3 months, getting yelled at, reaching out to him 3 times, both of us having to FIND IT IN HIS STORE, and supposedly $75, AND my player was superficially damaged on the from being stacked on in the 3 months it was at hi

I called concerning an old Fisher x200 amplifier from the 1960s that I have. It was my late husband's and I didn't know anything about it or if it worked. He was patient and talked me through several steps to hook it up to the old speakers. I was amazed the old amplifier worked! Thank you for your time and expertise. I highly recommend him!

John recently fixed an small Samsung CRT of mine that is fairly rare and quite sought after at this point. I found him to be very thorough and knowledgeable -- he fixed an issue that I could have never diagnosed, let alone repaired myself. I found him to be a very sweet person in his own way -- this work is definitely something he cares a lot about. My suggestion to anyone considering having a repair done at Radio Doctors is to be patient. This type of work is very time-intensive, and each project is unpredictable in terms of how long it will take to diagnose and repair. We are lucky to have John in the community and shouldn't take him for granted. Thanks a lot for saving my Samsung. =)
